Gladesville RSL Junior Cricket caters for children of all ages and is the Club of choice for junior cricket players in Gladesville and surrounding areas.
For younger boys and girls aged 4-8 years, Gladesville RSL Junior Cricket Club offers the “MILO IN2CRICKET” program for those looking for an introduction to this great game. The program runs over 13 weeks and each session runs for 60 minutes and the emphasis is on fun!! The program is held at Bill Mitchell Park commencing at 5pm and each child receives a giveaway pack that includes a bat, ball, hat, T-shirt, water bottle, backpack and other promotional items.
Boys and girls aged under 8 & 9 progress to a modified game format which is designed to be fun for all players while providing skills development. Games are played on a shortened pitch with a soft ball, so no protective gear is required. The umpires (usually coaches) are on field to coach and encourage players, as well as to apply and explain the rules. Scores are kept, but the focus is on fun and development, not competition. Boys and girls can then continue playing with the Club from under 10’s right up to under 16’s.
